[Songs with two *NEW* around them are new (well, duh!)]
A
Air II
This is a symphony used in The End Of Eva. It's written by Beethoven, I think.
A Moment When Tension Breaks
Version I
Version II
Version III
This is a piano solo with a guitar in the background, though the piano doesn't sound like a piano in this midi version. It was used during relaxing moments and/or when the characters of Evangelion were having a serious/relaxed talk.
Angel Attack
Version I
Version II
This is the Angel Attack theme, version I. There are three of them. This is kind of a funky background theme played when the Evas battled the Angels. The first time we hear it is during the battle between Eva Shogoki and Sachiel.
Asuka Strikes
This is Asuka's Theme, named "Asuka Strikes". It's kind of "old western"-ish and funny. It was used during the series when Asuka did something whacky or funny. This midi version is a little different from the original, though, but it's still fun to listen to!
A Step Forward Into Terror
This BGM was used mainly in the beginning of the series, where Shinji was learning how to control Eva Unit 01 correctly, hence the title, "A Step Forward Into Terror".
B
Barefoot In The Park
Another "funky song" used when two or more characters were walking together (for example, in the park).
Borderline Case
This is a theme played when a character experiences something out of this world (yeah, like that doesn't happen very much during Eva!). No, I mean when a person for examples is facing his fears or walking on an unknown path. Really cool theme! A must-to-download!
Both Of You, Dance Like You Want To Win
Version I
Version II
A piano duet (I think) used as BGM (background music) during the second, and final, battle that featured Eva Shogoki and Eva Nigoki VS Israfel (both parts).
C
Childhood Memories Shut Away
This is a violin song that was originally written by either Bach, Motzart or Beethoven. Anyway, it was used during Death : Rebirth. Shinji played it on his cello.
D
Decisive Battle
This is a BGM used when Evas battle Angels. It is mainly used when Shinji and Eva Shogoki go against an Angel.
E
Eva 00
This is another one of the "terrying" themes of Eva. It's a slower version of "The Beast".
Eva 01
This is Eva Unit 01's theme. Despite the fact that Eva Unit 01 gets used the most in both the series and the movies, this theme was not played very often.
Eva 02
This is Eva Nigoki's theme. It's used during battles including Asuka and Eva Nigoki. The first time it was used was during Episode 8, Asuka's first appearance, when Asuka and Shinji boarded Eva Nigoki and played hop-scotch with Gaghiel, the sixth Angel.
F
Fly Me To The Moon
Version I
Version II
Version III
Version IV
Version V - The Ayanami Bocca Version
Version VI
Version VII
This is the ending theme song of the Evangelion series. There are many remixes. There are several Yoko Takahashi remixes, countless Rei Ayanami remixes, Misato remixes, Asuka remixes, Misato, Asuka and Rei remixes. There are just too many versions! Jungle Aki, Boca Acid, 4 Beat, Touched By The Muse Mix, oh, so many!!!
G
Good, Or Don't Be
This is a remix of "Zankoku Na Tenshi No TEEZE". In the very end of the last TV Episode, Episode 26, another remix of the same song, "The Heady Feeling Of Freedom" was played. When it ended, "Good, Or Don't Be" instantly came on.
H
Halleluljah
Version I
Version II
This is the allknown song amonst Christians, Halleluljah. It ws used during episode 22, when Asuka was mentally raped by Arael, the 15th Angel.
Hedgehog's Dilemma
Theme written for Episode 4, "Hedgehog's Dilemma". Slow and pretty neutral. Neiher sad or happy.
I
J
Jesus Bleibet Meine Freunde
Version I
Version II
This is a symphony written by Bach. It was used as the ending theme song of The End Of Eva. I'm not sure, but I think that the title means "Jesus, Joy of Man's Desiring" in German.
Jikai Jokyu
This is the version used an a BGM when a character talks about the coming episode in the "preview of the next episode".
K
Kanon - D-dur
This is a "sad" little song that I like very much. It sounds like a base violin playing with backup. The song was used for Death : Rebirth.
Kanon - D-dur String Quartet
This is a little happier version of "Kanon - D-dur". The main difference is that the base violin has been exchanged for a string quartet. This song was used as the ending theme of Death : Rebirth.
Komm, Süsser Tod
Another song used during the movies that got a German name. The title means, literraly translated, "Come, Sweet Death". The song is played during EoE, starting at the beginning and ending at the end of the Third Impact. The original scores were written by Beethoven.
Kokoro Yo Genshi Ni Modore
The opening theme song of Evangelion Death:Rebirth.
L
M
Magmadiver
This BGM was used during Episode 10, Magmadiver (ironic, huh?). It's a kind of remix of "Decisive Battle". The beat has been altered and a couple of instruments have been removed or replaced by others. But I think it's pretty cool, though.
Marking Time, Waiting For Death
Slow and creepy theme used when the characters of Eva waited for something during battle.
Misato's Theme
Version I
Version II
This BGM was mainly used when Misato had just woken up and looked like hell. It's another one of those "funky tunes" of Eva.
N
Nerv's Theme
Fast and catchy tunes. This is NERV's theme. There's a variation of it, called "She Said, Don't Make Others Suffer For Your Personal Hatred".

Rei I
Rei Ayanami's first theme. Very low and very sad. Used mostly when showed Rei in sad situations.
Rei II
This is the second of Rei's themes. Personally, I think that this one is sadest of them all...
Rei III
A more "terrifying" version of "Rei". But I think it's much cooler since it's more "upbeat". I even think it sounds more sad. The only big change is that this one sounds like people are moving around, like in some great battle where everything is moving.
Ritsuko's Theme
A slow and pretty romantic theme not played very often. It's the theme of the scientist Ritsuko Akagi!
S
She Said, Don't Make Others Suffer For Your Personal Hatred
Version I
Version II
This BGM was used during an episode called "She Said, Don't Make Others Suffer For Your Personal Hatred". If you listen carefully, you'll discovered that it's yet another remix of "Decisive Battle".
Shinji's Theme
This is Shinji's theme. It's very sad and is played in the beginning of the series, when Shinji had to make choices that could affect the rest of his life.
Spending Time In Preparation
This is another one of those many "Decisive Battle" remixes. They've removed the solo instrument and only used the comp and background to this song. I think they used it when the Evas prepared for battle/launch.
T
Tamashii No RUFURAN
Version I
Version II
Version III
This is one of the two Death and Rebirth singles. It starts out kind of slow and sad but then speeds up and gets relaly cool. I recommend Version I, since it's very alike the original version.
The Beast
Fast beating and "terrifying" theme for Eva Shogoki, a.k.a. "The Beast". It was also used them Ireul attacked Eva Zerogoki.
The Beast II
Version I
Version II
Version III
This is another remix of "Decisive Battle". This one is a little faster and the beat has been altered. Some instruments have also been replaced or removed. But I like it, still!
Thanatos
Version I
Version II
Version III
Another sad theme. This one is not too slow, but not to fast either. Just pefect. If can be considered a happy and sad song since it gets happier in the end.
The Heady Feeling Of Freedom
This is a instrumental piano version of "Cruel Angel's Thesis". It's a tad sadder than the other remix, "Good, Or Don't Be". Both of the songs were used in the end of episode 26. First came "The Heady..." and then came "Good, Or...". Actually, "Good, Or Don't Be's" last tones were the last things that you ever heard in the series (if you don't count with the ending theme).
Tokyo-3
Tokyo-3's theme. It was mainly used when Tokyo-3, Civil Stage, turned into Tokyo-3, Combat Stage.

Worthy Is The Lamb
Another Christian choir song used in Eva. Personallu, I don't like it.

Yokan
This is a beautiful character image song ballad, sung by Yoko Takahashi. The lyrics can be found at the Lyrics section.

Zankoku Na Tenshi No TEEZE

Version II

Version VI
Version VII
Version VIII
This is the well known opening theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion. If you don't know what it is, then you probably haven't even seen Evangelion. The four versions above are Director's Cut Versions (a.k.a. CD-versions) or the song. I recommend Version VI. The instruments are pretty resembling to the original version and the "singer" is so weak you can use the midi as a karaoke song!
Zankoku Na Tenshi No TEEZE - TV version
Version I
Version II
This is the TV-version of the song.
Zankoku Na Tenshi No TEEZE - Cool Remix
This is a remixed version of Cruel Angel's Thesis. It's really cool! Sped up tempo, different instruments and a cooler beat! A must-to-download. By the way, this one is a remix that someone has done on free hand. I don't think there is any MP3 version of it.
Zankoku Na Tenshi No TEEZE - Cool Remix II
This is another remix of the song. This remix is of the entire song (Director's Cut). It's much faster than the original version. I can't say much more about it...
Zankoku Na Tenshi No TEEZE - Piano Remix
This is a really cool piano solo remix of the song. It's over six minutes long (the tempo has been slowed down a bit).
Waking Up In The Morning
This is another one of those "relaxed songs". It's used as BGM early in the morning or when someone is just relaxing.
When I Find Peace Of Mind
Version I Version II
Just another one of those "relaxing songs". This one is calm and suiting and really good to listen to when you're taking a bath or suntanning.
